DR. ED BARRON

Dr. Edgar D. Barron, a Diversity and Leadership consultant as well as an accomplished events speaker. He has spent more than over 30 years developing his expertise in a variety of enterprises ranging from small non-profits to large multi-national corporations. He is well known for conducting content specific workshops dealing with all aspects of Diversity and its intersection of Leadership. Edgar is also the Chair of the department of Leadership and Organizational Psychology Department at Azusa Pacific University. His teaching specialties include: Systems and Strategic Planning for Leaders, Leadership Theory and Practice and Leader as Agent of Change. Edgar has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University if La Verne, a Master of Arts in Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from the University of Southern California. He is also a member of the International Leadership Association, National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

BRITTANY BARRON

Brittany is a speaker, writer and advocate. Her body of work addresses the ways in which race, gender, and sexuality interact with our everyday lives. Brittany has a vast amount of experience creating and facilitating interactive workshops, trainings, and writing on these topics through work in higher education, non-profit organizations, and currently as a freelance diversity consultant. While serving as a pastor at Fellowship Monrovia, Brittany had the privilege of writing a curriculum designed to help participants unpack and understand racism in the US. In addition, she developed a center for Racial Reconciliation with Fellowship Monrovia. Brittany also offers hands on experiential learning through her Civil Rights Tours (more information about those can be found in the "what we do" page here on our site). The Tour follows a curriculum that she developed to enhance the experiential learning. Brittany received a B.A. in Psychology and M.S. in Counseling and Student Development from Azusa Pacific University.

DR. JESSICA BARRON

Jessica M. Barron, Ph.D. is a research scientist, sociologist, demographer and writer. Dr. Barron’s body of research addresses questions concerning how large scale demographic shifts shape the way we measure, theorize and understand issues of racial inequality, inclusion, and stratification across the United States. Her diverse and unique training as a qualitative and quantitative sociologist landed her fellowships at top research centers across the country including Loyola University Chicago’s Center for Urban Research and Learning, the Texas Census Research and Data Center, and Duke’s Social Science Research Institute. Barron has worked on projects funded by the National Science Foundation, the Texas Census Research and Data Center, and the Race and Ethnic Studies Institute at Texas A&M University. Dr. Barron’s work is featured in The Guardian, the Atlanta Way podcast, and published in academic journals, edited volumes and in a  forthcoming book manuscript under contract with NYU Press.
